In lockdown e-learning, FG violates rights of pupils with special needs

Unimpressed by the Federal Government’s excuses for not including special needs pupils in its ongoing e-learning programme, stakeholders insist the only way forward is through adequate planning, OLALEYE ALUKO reports

The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, did not mince words when on May 11 he said that, regarding physically challenged pupils in primary and secondary schools, there would be no “special provisions” for electronic learning, while all schools remained closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
